If ever proof were needed that the current active membership are "Rondroids", you need only click through a bunch of these sites to confirm that fact. And yet I know some of these people and at least a few of them are NOT the ultra conforming robots that the sites make them appear to be. I know some with intense and facinating personal stories, who might have something really interesting to say about Scientology, both good and bad. Some of these are talanted people with varied tastes and interests and who could have many links and facinating things apart from their connection to Scientology. There was one where I was sure, on recognizing the person's name, that he would have altered his site intensively and turned it into an asthetic creation of some sort. He would have the skill and talent and inclination to do so. When I saw it, I literally couldn't believe that it was another pure clone site with no personal touches. So I put on my droid valance and inquired as to what was the procedure if I should want to put up one of these sites myself. Thank goodness I've done TRs extensively, because what they told me was hilarious. They have a computer set up (I wouldn't say which org I was asking at) where you can enter your data for customizing your webpage and then THEY SEND IT UPLINES FOR ISSUE AUTHORITY. I'm sorry I didn't find out more. When I heard this I wanted to start rolling around on the floor with laughter. It was laughter mixed with grief actually. One of these situations where you want to laugh uncontrollably about something that is really very terrible. Because in one fell swoop, they had wasted entire shiploads full of personal talent and ability to communicate. This program is officially known as "Scientologist On Line". And it is appropriate that it is "Scientologist" instead of "Scientologists" online because it is one single imaginary Scientology cloned endlessly rather than a group of individuals. And its interesting to note that most of the cloned sites don't even have e-mail addresses. And some of the FSM PR that has been mailed about this talks about how the FSM will be able to enlighten new people via e-mail, but apparantly they are already backing off from that. It is a pure waste of time for them and actually very out-PR (bad public relations) because all a prospective customer would need to do is see two or more of these things and they would conclude that all Scientologists are robots. But it did result in a refreshing new site. Check out members.aol.com/hunnicut. A true Reform Now site with freezone and critical links built out of the Scientology starter kit. Obviously he neglected to get issue authority. Best, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio - Safe For Standard Techies SAFE FOR STANDARD TECHIES I would ask that ARS and ACT try a bit harder to make these newgroups safe for standard technophiles. Here I am talking about the people who adhere closely to standard tech but who wish to see the organization reform. Please realize that if a Scientologist says anything critical of the organization or supports a reform movement, he is dead meat as far as the organization is concerned. He could quote Ron chapter and verse and be a sterling defender of standard tech and yet if he were to say that he didn't trust Int Management, he would be "forwarding the enemy line" and in trouble with Ethics. There are a lot of Scientologists in this halfway zone. It is unsafe for them to talk within the organization because they disagree with management and it is unsafe for them to talk outside of the organization because they like standard tech too much and so they end up in this stuck point unable to move in either direction. The CofS has polarized the battle into one between the guys in the white hats and the guys in the black hats and there is little tolerance for those who like to wear grey. Some of you on ARS might say that these people belong on ACT, but ACT is into a broader definition of tech and exploring alternatives and tends to challange anybody who has a narrower view, expecting them to be able to defend their postiion rather than simply quoting Hubbard. I have no trouble with this because I am a 1950s tech proponent, which gives me a more flexible framework that allows for both standards and offbeat variations and research and even mixing practices with none of it being considered squirreling (squirreling is only altering the tech so as to make it unworkable by the old definition). But it is rough on standard tech proponents who do not know the subject well enough to defend it but who have made enough gains to believe in the tech. I believe that this is where the majority of Scientologists are sitting right now. They are between a rock and a hard place. They can't bear to support the critics or even the Freezoners and yet they can't bear to walk into an orthodox organization either. For a case in point, Lakis was recently accused of being a Scientology plant on ACT. Here is a bit of his reply - On 9 Apr 98, lakis agrogiannis posted to ACT on subject "LAkis a plant etc" > Hello guys, > if I'm a plant? NO! > > I do believe LRH was a great being, he has helped and is > helping us through the tech that he left us, but I prefer > to make up my own mind about things, and that means that > sometimes I follow LRH very closely, and other times I go > against him. That's how it has always been. > > Regarding the church, I have never openly attacked it, but > I have always had different opinions about some things, > (some of them are, the high prices, the robotism, the low pay > and conditions, the lack of true communication, the > confidentiality of the materials, and others). I haven't > been declared, but I'm not in good standing either. But I > don't feel the church should be attacked, churches are not > necessarily bad, and this one could prove it IF it reforms, > sometime soon. > ... (reminder snipped) Now some of you might think that he is too pro Hubbard and likes the church too much and so forth. But let me tell you that the above is pure HERASY as far as the current CofS is concerned and that even in saying this much he is suitable for burning at the stake. He can get away with this as long as he doesn't walk into an org because OSA has bigger fish to fry and ethics officers don't go hunting for people who are not active on lines, but he would be in trouble if he tried to do a course and ethics found out about the above. I have also noticed that a whole bunch of technophiles have started communicating intensively with each other on FZA's bulletin board. You might look at one or two messages and say "oh no, more Hubbardites!", but if you look a little further you will see that these guys have serious problems with the orgs and are quite in support of reform. And please don't go bothering them because they have nowhere else to talk. They will show up on ARS or ACT eventually if you don't scare them off first. And notice that there must be a hundred or so supportive messages from pro-reform Scientologists on the various FZA pages such as the Pilots guest book, the FZA guestbook, and the reform comments page. Many of them are annonymous and very careful about their identities. Please realize that they are taking risks and are in trouble with the orgs if they even look at FZA nothing to say of posting there. If the usual lurkers to posters ratio holds, there must be at least ten thousand lurkers of this sort watching what is going on here. I'm not asking you to tolerate bullshit or make nice with the OSA shills. But when a new poster shows up and says "I love tech" (without the stupid "go to ..." urls at the bottom), please ask for their opinion on CofS operating practices before you start firing with both barrels. I know some of you do this already. Thank you, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio - Question for Gerry Armstrong on Line of Attack QUESTION FOR GERRY ARMSTRONG ON LINE OF ATTACK On 12 Apr 98, armstrong@dowco.com (gerry armstrong) posted on subject "The Bank Follows the Line of Attack" > I imagine this idea has been discussed, but I haven't seen it. > > Hubbard stated as a universal law: "the bank follows the line of > attack." This was a basic policy for the GO and > Hubbard's personal staff. It was always the unassailable truth beneath > the orders to attack. > ... This is an interesting one and I'd like to dig into it a bit deeper. The quote does sound like something I've heard from various Sea Org idiots at one time or another. But it is not from the older tech, its one of the stupidities that came in later. So far I haven't been able to find the LRH reference for this one. Do you know where it's from? Thank You, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio - ANSWERING WGERT ANSWERING WGERT (since I don't use e-mail, it would help if somebody would e-mail a copy of this to him to be sure he gets it) On 6 Apr 98, wgert@loop.com (wgert) posted on subject "Re- Attention: The Pilot" from NNTP posting host 7102@207.211.61.132 using X-Newsreader: Forte Free Agent 1.0.82 in response to a previous post of mine that Future808 had answered (and of course Wgert ignored the content of both my original post and Future808's response) > future808@aol.com (Future808) wrote: > >P.S. You have proven my theory that OSA and the Big League FSMs who shill for it are very carefully reading and saving my posts. The wall of silence on your part really has been a pretense. I was sure that this was the case, but it is really nice to have my theta perceptions validated by real physical universe observation. And this also tells me for sure that you are avoiding comm out of hostile reasons rather than because of a deep down knowingness that what I'm doing is really the right thing. But of course we both know that the kind of people who could have appreciated my actions as being pro-tech have been purged from the upper ranks for a long time. And now we see the overt motivator sequence at work. Your own ev purps (evil purposes) have twisted you into shooting yourself in the foot yet again. Your ev purp was to use "Black Scientology" to blow me off of this newsgroup. For the uninitiated, Black Scientology is the intentional use of Scientology data in a backwards manner to harm rather than to help. The reverse datum used here was to try to intentionally create a "blow" (a sudden departure) by missing a withhold (missed withholds are supposed to cause a person to blow). The way to miss a withhold is to put the person into a "maybe" as to whether or not something has been found out which they are trying to keep hidden. The uncertainty drives them up the wall and sticks their attention and finally they get the hell out of the area to get away from this. So you picked up the NNTP posting host out of the message header of my ORIGINAL POST (not Future808's reply) and announce it with great import and pretense of being close to finding out who I am in the hope of getting me so worried and scared that I'll run away. I'm Rolling On The Floor with laughter! It took you 14 MONTHS to learn to pull a full message header which any smart kid could have gotten in 14 MINUTES! Yeah, I've been on ARS for 14 MONTHS now and you are no closer than the first day that I started posting. Don't you know by now that I use my OT POWERS to take over other people's computers at a distance and make them post my messages for me? Wouldn't it be funny if your own address of 207.211.61.132 was the origin of the message you are now reading? If the shock is too great you can run a locational on yourself. If you don't even know that much tech, see the first process in Chapter 1 of the self clearing book. If this post sounds a little 1.1, you are right, because I am trying to match tones with you in the hopes of having you actually duplicate what I'm saying for a change. Since I'm doing this on purpose, you can stop congradulating yourself for having driven me down tone. I really wish you would get the difference between really preserving the tech (I make every possible effort in that direction) and preserving OSA (and thereby perpetuating OSA's inhumanity to man). I have a nifty reference for you to look up. Borrow a copy of the cassette series called "Creating a new Civilization". It contains a lecture called "The Consequences of Organization". It is tape 5611C22 OS-11 (number 11 of the Organization Series originally given on 22 November 1956). You will love the tape because it is full of ranting against Pavlov and crowing about wins in training the British Olympic sharpshooter's team that year. I really wish somebody would transcribe this one and put it up on the net. Because it has one nice little kicker at the end. Ron is talking about the psychs and so on as being "man from mud" organizations. And then, at the end, he says that we must not make the tech secret or limit knowledge of the most advanced processes to a selected few at the uppers levels because the second we do that, we will become a "man from mud" organization just as bad as the psychs and so on. Listen to the tape. There is still hope for you. I write this in full confidence that an entire army at OSA will be reading this carefully. Maybe somebody could scrounge up that tape and let it play in the background while you type in your latest spams. ARC, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio - The Year 2000 Bug THE YEAR 2000 BUG This may be slightly off topic, but there was a raging discussion on ACT recently and there is some applicability to the CofS situation because their inflexible management style is sure to get them into trouble (I'll discuss that at the end). I work in the software industry and I am an expert in this area, so I think that my analysis is more accurate than the trolls and rumors that are flying around. There are other good sources but you need to be reading high tech publications to see these things firsthand. ----- 1. WHAT IS THE Y2K PROBLEM Old software used only 2 digits for the year without keeping track of the century. Most especially, mainframe Cobol only returned a 2 digit year in the standard function for getting the system date (lower level internals do not have this limitation). If a date is only being printed or displayed, it doesn't matter. Date comparisons and date arithmatic (how many months is a bill past due) on 2 digit years will function incorrectly across the year 2000 boundary unless special provisions are made (such as considering any year below 50 to be greater than any year above 50). The bulk of new software uses 4 digit years or makes other special provisions. Anything which naturally can have a span greater than 100 years has always handled this in some workable manner. If birthdates are recorded and used in calculations, they already have to allow for people born in 1893 for example, so whatever they are doing already works and will not be a problem. Fixing or replacing or even simply testing existing software in a large shop costs a fortune. It is not simply the cost of the software itself but also the tremendous effort required to convert databases and so forth. The code itself is usually easy to fix but finding the one line that has to be changed in a 50 thousand line program (and even finding the source code which might not even exist anymore) can be a major effort. Some businesses are prepared and some are not and some are halfway in between. ---- 2. WHAT AREAS ARE MOST SENSATIVE Accounting and financials. These often involve date calculations. Also scheduling systems, such as scheduling preventative maintenance or tracking the shelf life of a product or determining how long to retain an archive tape. Really archaic hardware might have a system clock which cannot cross the boundary, but this is should be rare. Most other software will not be affected significantly. ---- 2. WHO IS READY The biggest potential hit is to the Banking and Finance industry. These have the most critical date calculations including such things as calculating interest over time periods and so forth. But for this exact reason, these are the people who are best prepared and who have been throwing the most money at the problem. Visa has already strong armed every member bank into a guarantee of anything affecting Visa card issuance/authorization and the few businesses that didn't want to invest in complying have already sold off their credit card base because their right to issue Visa would already have been revoked if they hadn't. The banks and so forth have not only been protecting themselves but also firewalling against domino effects coming through from abberant external systems and the big ones will have task forces primed to jump on any problems that do appear. Here I am only knowledgeable in US and International US affiliates and I cannot say what it will be like in other countries. There may be some third world banks which crash and burn. But I would suspect that financial institutions in high tech countries are well prepared in this area. Software companies should also be well prepared execpt for the few who might be planning to close their doors on Jan 1, 2000. I would also assume that really big business (Fortune 500) have their accounting systems well braced for this. And this is the first time that I've been really happy that the Federal Reserve Bank is an independent bank rather than being run by the government. It is operated like a financial institution and not like a government bureauocracy and is prepared for this like the other banks. ---- 3. WHO IS UNPREPARED Some small businesses will get caught by surprise and will suffer. Some will find their accounting systems going belly up. It will only be a certain percentage, but they will feel the pain. But a really small business will gnerally be able to bypass manually. When the payroll run crashes, they will write out their 10 or 20 paychecks by hand or whatever. It will mean overtime and lots of confusion but I don't think that any small business will be wrecked directly, their real danger is in problems that may occur with larger businesses that they are dependent on. It is the medium to large non-financial businesses that might not prepare adequately and who might suffer immensly. Don't be surprised if you walk into a hotel and find that they have not only lost your reservation but that they have a big chalk board up in the lobby on which they are assigning rooms. Some accounts recievable systems will crash so that a business can't get its invoices out. Some payables systems will crash so that a business can't pay its bills. Some payroll systems will crash so that the paychecks come late. This will mainly happen to businesses that do something other than accounting for their actual products because people who work in the area directly will be better prepared. Some businesses will suffer because others don't pay their bills. And of course the government bureaucracys are the least prepared and there will be terrible mess and confusion. Be prepared for late social security checks, lost paperwork, and all sorts of annoyances. For example, in January of 1996 California began issueing drivers licences that expired in the year zero and this was taken by other software to mean that the drivers licence had been revoked. There was much confusion and running around and inconvienience and extra work and the net result was that all they were all reissued as expiring in the year 01. This was simply one solveable problem which made a mess that took months to straighten out. Now imagine that all the similar problems trigger all at once in Jan of 2000. ---- 4. WHAT WILL HAPPEN Be prepared for lots of hassels and confusion. Some businesses will fail, usually after a few months of struggle. Some businesses will boom because their main competetor failed or has grown inefficient while they themselves were well prepared. Expect long lines and sporatic shortages of things on a random basis. Expect that the ATMs will keep working but they might often run out of cash because some businesses will be screwed up and only taking cash over the counter while they try to fix their computers. There will be a boom in programming jobs, accounting jobs, clerical jobs (count the inventory again because we lost the records), and lawfirms (because of a boom in lawsuits). Wise investors are positioning themselves this year, moving what they want to into gold etc. and shifting their portfolios around to match their predictions of who will boom and who will fail. There will be some wild market trading in the last few months of 1999. There will be some panicked investors shifting things around based on last minute rumors and there will probably be a last minute rush to pick up more gold etc. This will all be over before Jan 1, 2000 and the new year will probably start with a quite "wait and see" as businesses prove their actual preparation or the lack thereof. Many problems will not show up until month end or monthly billing cycles are run. I do not expect a disatrous market crash or economic collapse, but I do expect some wild fluctuations and moments of panic. I would recommend having some reserves and some supplies on hand to carry you through a bad day or a bad week. I would suggest having more than the usual cash on hand and if you have the resources, also holding some gold and some conservative investments. Beyond this, if you have real money invested I would suggest maximum diversity (some businesses will fail and others will boom, don't have all your eggs in one basket) and emphasising businesses which might be able to make money from the confusion. ---- 5. OTHER YEAR 2000 TROUBLES In the above, I have only addressed the Y2K computer problem. There will also be social effects due to the significance of the date. Of course we can expect some cults to go completely bananas. But on a less dramatic level, many people will see it as a time to change their lives and do something different. This will be further fuled by businesses going bankrupt and also by new opportunities opening up. So you can expect a great deal of change and social unrest. Many people will expect something to happen and therefore they will make something happen. So we can expect that some really wild shit may take place but it is impossible to guess exactly what or when. If we're lucky it will be a few wild orgies in the city parks instead of a repeat of the LA riots. ---- 6. THE SCIENTOLOGY FOOTBULLET I would expect that self clearing, freezone practices, and all other new age practices will experience a bit of a boom because of the change and unrest and the importance that people will place on the date itself. The orthodox CofS should experience a similar boom except that they are designed to shoot themselves in the foot in circumstances like this. It will be a situation of maximum change that requires great flexibility and adaptation to moment to moment variations. Management by statistics will kill them because there will be momentary fluxuations out of their control. And they can't blame any outside source and they must have scapegoats and put heads on pikes. And they follow fixed policies rather than having managers who can make fast command descisions to handle an instantaneous problem or take advantage of a momentary great opportunity. The footbulleting will approach machine gun regularity. Their remaining staff who are smart and able will adapt to and handle the flux generated by the year 2000. And those will be the ones who will be crucified by management for violating policy and thinking for themselves. I expect that the search for scapegoats will reach witch hunt proportions unless they reform before that date. ----- 7. AFTERWORD All of the above are of course invalid if the Marcabian's land or The Rapture begins or some other event of Biblical proportions does take place. I'm not predicting anything like this, but if there is something of this magnitude in the cards, the year 2000 is the time when any smart invader or demi-god would schedule it for because of the increased confusion and social unrest. For this I would suggest maintaining good confront, an open mind, and a flexible postion. And of course you should put the time in now on whatever it is that you do to improve your ability level and put your own house in order. Best, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio - TO VERITAS TO VERITAS First let me say that your website is nicely done and you appear to have put a considerable amount of work into researching what is going on with the CofS. Although I can't confirm everything, I am assuming at this point that the actual data that you presented, as far as copyright ownership etc., is accurate. I don't, however, agree with your interpretations of the data. I am not insisting that you are wrong because I don't know what the real truth is, but it strikes me that you view is too shallow and does not adequately account for the situation. My feeling is that you have a piece of a much larger puzzel. Since I am assuming that your intentions are honest, I'd like to suggest a few things for further digging. If you can really get to the bottom of the whole mess, I think that everyone but the villians would be most gratefull. First let me confirm that Lyman Spurlock is still a major power within the CofS and he is certainly a member of the notorious coven of 12 that is immediately beneath DM. Whether or not Lyman or another of the 12 or some tax accountant is actually the power behind the throne still remains to be seen. The presence of the 3 sidekicks helping Lyman to setup a corporation does not imply that they are actual powers since this might only have been done for purposes of record. As to Meade Emory and his IRS history, I would ask you to please dig deeper and find out about his history prior to the IRS. I know nothing about the man, but it would not surprise me to hear that he was either CIA or Guardian Intelligance or both in the 1960s. A large percentage of the coven, including DM himself, were children of Scientologists and were all recruited into the Sea Org simultaneously at some point in the late 1970s. They were recruited for the CMO and may all have been sent off together for some kind of secret training as part of the recruitment. The group was observed together around the LA complex and then disappears completely for awhile and then the whole crowd reappears at the top of the CMO command structure. There is something mysterious here and I have not been able to get specifics but only rumors from various people who were in the SO at that time. The lawyers and accountants used by Ron prior to his disappearance and the ones who subsequently came forward and any interaction between them should also be looked into further. The files captured in the FBI raid were either very incomplete or were whitewashed by CIA agents either in the FBI or within CofS itself prior to the raid because there is little mention of CIA in these documents and the CIA rather than the FBI was the number one target of GO activities in the late 1960s. I know nothing concrete and the rumors are a dime a dozen, but the whole mess goes back much earlier and much wider than what you are looking at. I would really like to know who is pulling the strings. Maybe this would make a good episode for the X-Files. Best, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio - Answering Alux's Religious Questions ANSWERING ALUX'S RELIGIOUS QUESTIONS On 9 Apr 98, alux@d.umn.edu asked on subject "Is Scientology for me?" > I am interested in learning more about Scientology. I would be most > grateful for anyone who responds to this letter. I don't need expert > opinions to these questions. All > that I am looking for is an honest Scientologists point of view. Please > do not feel obliged to answer > all of these questions as I know that they can be very long. > > Please answer these questions from a Scientologists point of view I am a reformed rather than an orthodox Scientologist. I will try to answer from the underlying foundations of the Scientology faith which are pretty much accepted by all the various sects. These foundations consit of things such as the Scientology axioms, the factors, the phoenix lectures, the Philadelphia Doctorate Course tapes, the book "Creation of Human Ability" and so forth. The upper management of the orthodox CofS might layer some wierd stuff on top of this, and the critics on ARS will probably burn your ears off with some of that, but it is surface layering and a point of contention between orthodox and freezone sects, so I will argue that the above references apply to the religion as a whole rather than just a particularly large and obnoxious sect within that religion. > Questions of Human Identity > 1. Who are we as humans? In your terms, fragments of God. In Scientology terms, we have each separated from the universal life static. Scientology Axiom 1 is "Life is Bascially a Static". > 2. What is the basic human dilemma? How to return to "Native State" which is "Co-Existance of Static". > Questions of Human Destiny > 1. Why are we here? Hubbard would say "Life is a Game". I would say that we are balancing the eternal nothingness with a richness of creation. Other interpretations are possible. > 2. What happens after death? The between lives implants which wipe out one's memory before one reincarnates. According to Hubbard, this is a prison planet where the souls are made to be "dead forever" by making them forget who they are in between each lifetime. But not all Freezone Scientologists accept this and it can be debated. I also consider this one to be only a possiblity rather than an absolute. The common agreement between orthodox, reformed, freezone, and whatever would be a certainty that there is re-incarnation or an advancement to the point where one could operate without needing a body. > Questions of Morality > 1. What is right living? Ethics, personal integrety, and responsibility. Most or all sects will agree on "Ethics is the contemplation of optimum survival" and also on "Ethics exists to get Tech in" (meaning the technology of freeing the person from abberation). Beyond this there may be arguments as to exactly what is Ethical or what code is appropriate. The orthodox CofS would like to convince its members that the most ethical thing to do is to give money to the CofS. > 2. What is our obligation to others? Again there could be much argument. The CofS management might say that we are obliged to "Clear the planet". But others, including many orthodox members, might say "Create only those effects which others can have easily" (from "New Slant on Life"). Another one might be "The greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics" where the dynamics are a codification of the impulses to survive through self, family, groups, and so on. But even the definitions of the dynamics are arguable within the freezone since Hubbard himself specualted about dynamics beyond the 8 that were codified. > 3. What are our obligations to non human life? In Scientology terms this is the 5th of the 8 dynamics. See the comment on the greatest good above. > Questions about the Sacred > 1. What is the sacred? Because you said "the sacred" rather that asking what is sacred, I assume that you mean the Scientology equivalent of God. This would be the Life Static. See axiom 1 above. > 2. How is the sacred made known? Through processes which raise awareness. > Please compare and contrast Scientology to one of these religions which > I have a familiarity with. > a) Judaism > b) Christianity > c) Islam > d) Buddhism > e) Taoism It is a religion of seeking knowledge or truth or enlightenment rather than one of worship. This puts it in the same class as Tantric Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, Gnostic Christianity, Christian Science, Unitarianism, Kabbalistic Judaism, Sufi wisdom (I forget what they call their gnostic branch, but I know they have one), and the various new age studies that seek after truth. The commonality between all of the above also applies to Scientology. And I think that if you will look closely, you will see that the above have more in common with each other than they have in common with their more popular ritualistic offshoots. Scientologists have faith in the immortality of the spirit and in the use of the tech to eventually achive enlightenment. They don't believe in worship or rituals. The orthodox CofS has settled on various inflexible practices which may eventually become rituals, but it is a young religion and they are not quite there yet. > Thanks in advance, > > NO_-Spam_alux@d.umn.edu > (Please remove the 'NO_-Spam_' to reply) I always post anonymously and can't be reached by e-mail because the orthodox CofS attacks anyone who would seek to reform it or splinter off into another Scientology sect. Best, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio - How To Fly To Markab HOW TO FLY TO MARKAB This is humorous but true rather than one of my spoofs. I found this while browsing around at www.spiritweb.org. It actually is a very nice website for new age information and they have a huge archive of material from tons of sources. So don't take this as a criticism of them, they just host things written by others. The item that I found so entertaining was the "Merkaba Meditation according Drunvalo Melchizedek". Merkaba does sound familiar, doesn't it. Makes one think of a place full of fedora hats and ufos. So I looked at his rundown. It was a process consisting of 18 steps, where each step included breathing and body position and various mockup type drills to do. Bascially one is concentrating energy and mocking up shapes and putting them into motion and so forth. It wasn't bad, actually. I skipped the breathing and body positions, but mockup drills are fun so I was doing these as I read through the rundown. There was nothing really surprising or earth shattering, but you can get some benifit from any mockups of this type. At a minimum it is good for one's powers of concentration and visualization. But then comes the kicker. Near the end, he has you set these mockups to spinning so that they form a flying saucer about 55 feet in diameter which surrounds you. For the final step, you have to ask your Higher Self for the key to activate the UFO, and of course it will not tell you until you are ready. > This very special breath will not be taught here. You must > receive it from Your Higher Self. It is the breath that will > take you through the speed of light into the fourth dimension. > You will disappear from this world and reappear in another > one that will be your new home for awhile. This is not the > end, but the beginning of an ever expanding consciousness > returning you HOME to your FATHER. Of course he does not actually say that this flying saucer is going to carry you to Markab, but considering the name of the rundown, that would seem to be the most likely destination. If anyone does try this and gets wisked away, once you get to Markab please mock up another flying saucer and have it carry you back here so that you can tell us all about it. I'd like to know if the Fedora's are still in style or whether I should buy me a Derby. Most helpful and informative. > I shall soon be posting comprehensive documents relating > to the Co$ Toronto Org. Then you will see the inspiration > of my curiousity. > > You mentioned missionholders making Profits. Would > this apply to the Toronto Org founded in 1967? No because it was an org rather than a mission. The orgs were set up as non-profit organizations. If I remember right 10% went to the Building fund or to World Wide and the rest was divided up between staff pay and operating expenses. Pay was 40% of gross income. Each post had a certain number of pay units assigned to it, usually 80 for low level posts, 100 for auditors or department managers, and 120 or even 140 for top execs. The total units were calculated and divded into the total salary fund for the week (40% of GI) to yield a value for that weeks unit. In bad times the unit might be as bad as 5 cents but usually it would be around 15 to 25, and in a boom period it might go as high as 50 cents. A 50 cent unit gives an average pay of 50 bucks a week. This was at a time when an ordinary bookkeeping job paid about 125 a week. So this was low pay, but proportionately much better than modern staff pay. Nowardays, a central org (which I believe are still run on a modern version of this system) has many more deductions before the remaining GI is divided up, and then part of the staff pay goes to paying for training courses and whatever at Flag for top execs and so forth, and finally the remainder is used to establish the unit, which is generally very low. In the old days, we were only allowed to count money in the GI when a service was started, so that advanced payments and so forth went into a holding account (and were available for refund of advanced payments) and so the org had to really deliver courses and so forth to earn money. Now they count advanced payments as income immediately and the whole staff can starve if a big advance is transfered or refunded (if money moves from an org service to the bookstore, lets say for 10 grand worth of tapes, the org must put actual cash into the HCO book account even though they have spent the advanced payment long since). Note that the bookstore money was kept separate from the org money and it had to be totally cycled back and used to stock more books and was a no profit item as far as the org was concerned but there were dire penalties for not pushing the bookstore operation to the hilt. The current handling of advanced payments means that the org lives on advanced sales rather than delivery, and actually having to deliver a big load of services later (when the money has already been spent) means that they have no cash for investing in the facilities needed for delivery if booms in people starting services happen in different weeks than the booms in selling services. So there is some tendency to push selling services and a bit of reluctance to actually have to deliver them in some cases. Another thing that changed is that in the 1960s, the registrars did not receive sales comissions. Now they do, so again there is a drain on the staff pay fund before it is divided up. And registrars end up being the only well paid staff members. And again the emphasis is all on sales rather than delivery. The FSMs however, have gotten sales commissions since the creation of the FSM system back in 1965. And of course in modern times the SO sends in missions at the drop of a hat and charges the orgs and missions for these. Note that there is no connection between the two different uses of "mission", one being an SO task force and the other being the modern name for a franchise operation. In any detailed analysis of an organization, you have to be careful of the different types because they operate on completely different financial policies. In general, "org" always refers to a "Central Organization" unless otherwise qualified. These are always non-profit and run on some break even divy things up kind of system. These are limited to Class 4 and use mostly non-Sea Org staff. If I remember correctly, Toronto was a Class 2 org initially in 1967 and had to send its staff auditors etc. to New York for class 3 and 4 level training. Usually orgs would start this way and then be upgraded to Class 4 after they had successfully trained students up to Class 2 for awhile. But they would be auditing PCs to grade 4 from the begining which is why they would need to get staff trained to 4 immediately. The franchises (old) / missions (new) are operated for profit by their owners, but are subject to much pillaging by SO missions (task forces) that can come in when they want and bill what they feel like for messing up the franchise. They are very restricted in what services are allowed, mostly auditing PCs to Grade 4 but not allowed to train the auditors that do the auditing. The SO and other high level organizations (Gold etc.), and World Wide and St Hill in the old days (before the SO) have their own finance systems mostly established by Flag Orders rather than HCO Policy. And of course there are all these little sideways things like the HCO Book account and IAS fees (formerly HASI) and hounding for contributions to CCHR and so forth. You probably didn't need all this, but I thought that I should write all this financial stuff up in one place. Regards, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio Tech - SELF CLEARING ADDITION (Attn Michael) SELF CLEARING ADDITION (Attn Michael) Someone who soars exceptionally high in the first few chapters of the Self Clearing book may experience a bit of a "crash" if they haven't done enough chapters to allow them to hold an advanced state with stability. Here is the remedy. --- On 13 Apr 98, Michael asked on subject "A question to Pilot & others" > Hello! > > I was making the 'attention process' AKA 'location'. It was great, > actually I was making location many many times before & every > time it was making me or anybody else sleepy and bored. & now > I found why - there was no precision in spotting spots & it > was made too slow so that attention was fixing at different > objects so that the feeling was like everything around was > splitting into parts. So the difference between high toned & > bored location is precision in spotting spots & fast switching > from one to other. Yes, exactly. Unfortunately this is not clearly stated in the modern Scientology references. It is on the tapes of 1952 and 1953, but it is not in a nice neat little package that is easy to give as a tech reference. So the style of running it has gradually deteriorated over the years within the CofS because the auditors do not have a good understanding of what they are doing with this process. > And now, using this Pilot 'attention process' for 30 minutes > I found that I felt like a child who is seeing the world first > time in his life. It was wanderful, happy feeling! > > The question is that a moment that feeling came to me I felt > another thing. It was something like: 'There's no sense to > live happy, there no difference between happy & sad living > because there isn't something VERY important, something > which is the main sense of life'. After 1 minute the feeling > vanished but happiness & brightness of perception vanished > too. :-( What could it be? Could it be a restimulation? It's > rather strange for a restimulation for I was in present > time & tone 4.0. > > What to do with this? How to understand what is this 'something > VERY important, something which is the main sense of life, in > absence of which everything is senseless?' Further efforts to > make attention process do not produce the tone 4.0, child > feeling and that. You have both my congradulations and my appologies for not providing for this. In the old days we would have said that you had "gone up the pole" and then promptly fallen off. It is based on a story of Ron's where he describes worms crawling around on a flatland and then one suddenly goes up a pole and is exterior to the flatland and can really look around for the first time, but then he falls off and ends back up in the flatland again. What has happened is that one has exteriorized in some manner. One has stepped outside of either the body or the game or the bank or the universe or whatever. Then one interiorizes and that is the "falling off the pole". One goes back into whatever one had exteriorized from. The processes to protect against this falling off of the pole are later in the book. The most important one is the first process of chapter 11. I had not imagined that it would happen earlier in the book, but I should have known better. My only excuse is that I was so busy making sure that the book would be safe for those who ran it in a careless and sloppy manner that I didn't worry sufficiently about people who would use it in a superlative manner. Instead I assumed that they would be people who already had extensive auditor training and who would already have much other knowledge to carry them through situations such as this. If this had occured when you were further along, you would not have fallen off so easily. The book should have an additional paragraph added to the introduction, advising that if one experiences some wonderous state early in the book, one should immediately go to chapter 11, read the introduction, and run the first process. In your case we may need a bit more because you have already fallen off and gotten into a bit of difficulty. There are actually a number of factors at work here. Since there are a number of processing steps, I will put letter them A, B, etc. to aid in keeping track. You should probably read through this before begining the steps. A) The first thing to handle is the exteriorization / interiorization phenomena. This is explained and addressed in chapter 11 and that should be your first step. Just read the introduction and do process 11-1 rather than the entire chapter. You should be capable of running this one in a thorough manner. But the particular exteriorization you describe is more of an "exterior to the game" type state which is really a bit higher. Process 11-1 should still handle most of the effects, but let us try to ensure a bit more stability with another process as follows: This is an advanced processes and should be done very lightly to a win rather than trying to push too hard with them. These can be run again in a more thorough manner when you come to them in the correct sequence. B) Read the introduction to chapter 41 ("Bodies") and do the first process (41-1). Don't do the rest of the chapter at this time, but just the first process. These first steps should cool down the difficulty and reason for having interiorized. Once this has been accomplished, it is no longer unpleasant as one slides in or out of the body or the game and one is not likely to trigger old charge by the simple fact of sliding out. C) Another thing that often happens if one jumps to a high state very quickly is that one looses so much "mass" that one's "havingness" (what one feels that one has or can have) sometimes drops too much. The processes of chapter 1 do raise "havingness", but the processes of chapter 2 are much stronger "havingness" processes. So do process 2-1 on various things, and even in different rooms or locations if necessary, until you have a really good feeling of being able to reach things and have them. But note that the material in the introduction to chapter 2 is to be used in the next step, so run process 2-1 first. D) The introduction to chapter 2 explains about overrun and how to rehabilitate or "rehab" a process which has been overrun. Read and understand the theory, but do not actually do the practice step of overruning a process because we already have something that we need to rehab. Now spot the moment of achiving that "childlike state" on process 1-1 and rehabilitate it. If necessary spot the exact date, time, and location and get back the exact feeling. Note that these rehabs are extremely easy to do if you do it right away, but when more time has passed you need to work a bit more at spotting the precise time, place, and what happened. If there is a drop in "havingness" as the state comes back, run a bit more of 2-1. Now as to the exact thought which restimulated, the one begining with "There's no sense to live happy ...", with more experience you would have been suspicious of such a thing as being an old trap, which is what it is. It is almost tone 40, with just a slight twist that is meant to crash one out of tone 40. And so it doesn't feel "restimulative" because it is far above 4.0, but it is a crash none the less. In practice, whenever one is shown that there is a value to abberation, one is being tricked into abberating oneself. The absence of other determined importances gives one the freedom to assign or change importances at will, and that makes one a player of the game instead of a pawn in other's games. And so the trick is to set it up so that if somebody hits this state, they will immediately dive back into the trap and obey the importances assigned by others before they discover that they can assign their own ones willfully. If you had done more chapters, you would already have done many drills on assigning meanings or importances or creating or projecting things and you would simply have ignored this old trap. Even after it is rehabbed, the state may not be really stable but only a pleasantry that occurs occasionally. For stability in the advanced states, you need a broader base to stand on and to handle the things which call you back into the human condition and that means working through the book chapter by chapter. But once an advanced state has been reached, the processing goes very fast. You will find that some sections seem unnecessary and others fall away very quickly and it is only occasionally that you hit an area that needs considerable work. Welcome to the road to OT. Affinity, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio Tech - About OT (Attn LittleLRH & Tom Fielder) ABOUT OT (Attn LittleLRH & Tom Fielder) On 5 Apr 98, "littleLRH" asked on subject "4 THE PILOT: OT POWERS" > Dear Pilot, to me indoctrinating a pc on Bts and Xenu stuff is > just eval and telling the pc what to run...and it doesn't give > back OT powers...if they do exists.... You're right, it is eval. Best if the person pokes into this after they have run into such things themselves. So one should know in general that there is material on this and where to find it when one needs to but not to make a big deal out of it or be thrown into it or blame one's case on it. It is a lesser factor and certainly not the big WHY on either one's case or on developing OT abilities. > As far as telepathy, moving objects, and all sorts of OT powers... > could you please tell me if you have some OT drills that one > can drill to obtain some sort of OT powers... i mean to me it > is just a matter of drilling, processing is fine, but to do > things you have to drill, and LRH always stated that.... > > much love, > littleLRH The self clearing book is full of OT drills. It is a balanced mixture of the drills and of case handling and I think that this is the best approach. And many old style processes are a little bit of both. Chapter 7 of Super Scio is specifically dedicated to OT drills and has a great number of them. I have occasionally posted others to ACT. Check the pilot archives at FZA for ones which have Super Scio Tech in the title. Some of these are OT drills. And of course there is also Route 1 (CofHA), SOP 8C (near the back of 8-8008) and old OT 5/6. Many of these drills are also in Self Clearing and/or Super Scio. Before doing any extensive amount of OT drills, run the first process in the chapter on Exteriorization (chapter 11) of the self clearing book so that you don't get into trouble with the ext/int phenomena. Also become adapt at the first few processes in Self Clearing chapter 1 and 2 because they raise havingness. Sometimes exteriorizing or achiving a keyed out OT state will drop havingness because of loosing the mass of the bank or whatever and you may need to run something to raise havingness to stabalize the state. I didn't emphasize this in self clearing because objective havingness processes are also interwoven throughout the book, but if you just do OT drills you need to know about raising havingness if it drops suddenly. You might also want to pick up the Philadelphia Doctorate Course transcripts which are currently up at a website. ------ On 19 Apr 98, tjfielder@earthlink.net (Thomas Fielder) asked on subject "To Pilot- witnessing OT abilities" > Pilot, > > I'm particularly interested in your response, but I'd appreciate anyone > else's opinion as well. Thanks in advance. > > Tom You are mostly correct. I believe the other idea (the danger of seeing it) to be a cop out. But there are some other aspects to this. If you violate physical laws in front of someone who is against such a thing (many people are in compulsive agreement), then you are enforcing a reality and are also asking for them to consciously or unconsciously counter-postulate against you. Doing this in front of a crowd who don't believe such things can be done and object to the idea of it being done may not be possible even for a strong OT until the group agreements have changed. But one could still succeed if one were smart and subtle. The best example is Jesus. The feeding of the multitude is done in such a skillful manner so as to sidestep this problem that it makes the story seem very likely to me and shows us the right way to handle such things. He does not wave his arms and make tables piled with food appear. That would probably get instant counter postulates in large quantites even if many wanted to believe. Instead he hands around a basket which is known to contain food. Each person reaching in can justify to himself that there still should be some left and really wants his share so he postulates in agreement with Jesus. Nobody else is having their nose rubbed in the violation of reality and they are each hopeing that the food will last a little bit longer. And Jesus talks to distract the crowd. And everyone eats from the single basket. In retrospect a vast violation of physical universe laws has occured, but there is no one point at which the whole crowd focuses against it. Note that when Jesus walks on water, only his desciples who believe in him are present. It is doubtful if he could have done it infront of a crowd. The water into wine is again a subtle trick and it would not surprise me if he made a point of asking some of the guests who did not know of the water to come over and taste the wine first before those who knew were allowed to try it. And healing is the sort of thing where many would scratch their heads and wonder if anything had really been done. There is some possibility that he might have thought that he could float down from the cross and found himself pinned by the great visibility and the massed agreement of other prisoners and Roman guards. I'm only speculating here, but it would be another explanation for the "Why has't thou forsaken me". Once emtombed and out of sight, he manages to come back, but note that again he is carefull about who he appears to, mainly visiting the desciples. My own experiences were that things could be done in front of witnesses and the witnesses generally loved it rather than being harmed, but of course I was either around Scientologists or my metaphysically oriented family rather than people who would find their realities shaken. A subject with multiple source points and distribution points were there is no single command point or single point of failure cannot be knocked out by a single blow no matter how powerful or well plannded that blow is. Affinity, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio Tech - Answering Lakis On Flow Zero ANSWERING LAKIS ON FLOW ZERO On 14 Apr 98, lakis agrogiannis asked on subject "TO PILOT" > Hi, Pilot! > > While I would like to talk to you for hours, I'll just ask you > this now, lest I forget it: why wasn't the flow zero included in the > Clearing Book's processes? Even if I disagree, I would like to know your > reason. > > arc, lakis > > (ps I just skimmed through, I haven't looked at all the pages.) As explained in the appendix, the flows used varied depending on the process, as was the style in the early days. More or less flows were used as seemed reasonable for the exact command being run. The idea of precisely having to do all flows always is something that developed during the quicky era. If you are only going to run one process for a grade, it really will bypass charge if you skip a flow because nothing else is to be done in the area. It doesn't seem to matter that much once you use many processes per grade. And there was often trouble putting quads in after triples had been done on an expanded grade. It has to be done lightly, often skipping the process. I believe that this was because they were pedantically trying to make everything into 4 flows. There are many more than 4 flows possible, especially depending on the process. Some of the old processes have 15 or 25 flows (called brackets in the old days). So multiple flows were worked in as needed so as to make the most sense and make the processing easiest without omitting anything. So some processes do have 4 flows and some have less and some even have more. And some of the ones with 2 or 3 flows have flow 0 instead of flow 1 as the first command. Also, many of the single flow processes are inherently flow zero rather than flow one, so the book actually has more flow zero than anything else. This is after all the basic, that the person is source for his own condition. But Ron had supposedly thrown a fit when he found out that the first set of tech volumes had come out with the 1963 materials omitted. Apparantly one of his last orders before disappearing was to get these things back on the briefing course. So in 1978 they put the tapes back on the checksheet. The students found it a bit confusing because they were allowed to hear the tapes but couldn't read the bulletins that went with them. But you still couldn't buy the tapes or get to hear them except on the BC checksheet, the org was doing everything it could to keep these things out of circulation. Finally in 1991 the New Tech Volumes came out and the SHSBC Cassettes were released and these materials are included. They are in Level J of the SHSBC Cassettes along with transcripts. Unfortunately, they cost a fortune and you can't buy individual ones (the usual 4X overpricing). And they wouldn't sell to anyone who is not in good standing (the usual religious persecution that they practice). And in theory they also wouldn't even sell them to their own people unless they have started the briefing course, but I suspect that they bend this one occasionally when money is waved in their faces. > This R3M2 lecture was the final lecture on the research procedure > for finding the detailed structure of GPMs and successive GPMs in a > series. This is an excellent point. For engrams, the real key is to get one's confront up on incidents by running them on a gradient until one achieves full confront of the pain and force in engrams. That is what brings about the Dianetic Clear state where the engrams fall away because the person no longer flinches at the pain and force contained in mental pictures. On that basis, gradient confront is much more important than finding some specific engram which explains some condition. And of course the same would be true for GPMs. This puts a whole new slant on it. The importance would not be in finding items but in raising one's confront of items until the entirety of items falls away. This happened for me on implant items at some point while I was researching the pile of platens that is in Super Scio chapter 8. At some point, all implanted items seemed to loose their force and it really didn't matter if I'd found them or not or if they were right or not. I would therefore hypothesize that the same can be done for the much more powerful goals and items of actual GPMs. The SOP 8C rundown of 1953 (the OT rundown, not the opening procedure) included "find some goals you don't have" in its first level and this may have acted as a key-out on the entire GPM bank in some cases. There is much to be looked into here. This is an order of magnitude beyond the engramic confront achieved by a Dianetic Clear or the errasure of one basic platen achieved by a Clearing Course clear. > In 1954 as each student qualitied for starting to co-audit on GPMs > by having passed all theory and practical checkouts on the R5 materials, > that student was admitted into a locked office, a locked wall cabinet > was unlocked and he was given time to copy the entire line plot and > goals plots from a copy mounted on the back wall of the cabinet. Each > student was given the entirety of the data all at once, instead of > having it parcelled out a few goals at a time. I assume that you mean 1964. Note that although the 1963 materials were declassified, the 1964 materials (R6) remain confidential. ---- I'm not going to quote the rest of this extremely interesting post because Sarah has made it available at her excellent tech website (http://members.xoom.com/Sarah_Hefver). I highly recommend that anyone studying this area of the tech should read Bob's writeup. A big Thank You to Bob Ross for this one. Between Bob and David and Alan, we are starting to get a good picture of what was going on at St. Hill in 1963-4. Lets hope that the stories keep coming, and especially that we get a bit more on the 1964-5 transition into the clearing course materials. The CofS will not sell to anyone who is not in good standing. Even if you are in good standing, they are not supposed to sell you the SHSBC tapes unless you are on or have done the SHSBC (they often violate this in practice). Almost all of the tapes have been transcribed long since. Much of the work was actually done by public volenteers for Gold rather than even being done by SO slave labor. Many public volenteer just to get to hear the tapes while helping at the same time. They have also run everything onto top of the line CDs for storage in the vaults. They have been taking decades to get only a small portion of the R&D volumes done. As they become available, and as long as they will continue to sell to me, I will buy these, and actually the most recent one (R&D 13) is a transcript of the first third of the PDC which I already have a set of transcripts for (from the tapes) and which can also be picked up on the net for free and I still bought their volume anyway because it is a nice printing job and I like to encourage their efforts and it is a bit better done than the earlier transcripts. Loyalists will buy from them anyway, so internet distribution shouldn't hurt their sales, and the spread of the tech via the freezone would actually increase their sales if they stopped their hypocritical religious persecution. I honestly believe that someday when I feel it is right to get a hardcover publisher for the self clearing book, the book will actually sell better rather than worse by benifit of having a free copy available on the net. Look how many people print it off which takes time and paper costs and wear and tear on their laser printers. It is easier to buy a hardcopy. So I don't think that it will hurt their sales. And it would really help the freezone a lot. And it would help orthodox Scientology a lot too if only they would wake up and stop acting suppressive to the spread of the tech. And I know that Gold was offered outside bids many years ago that would have enabled tape pricing of about $5 per cassette instead of $20 (manufacturing bids of under a buck with high quality packaging and so forth), but they did not want to loose control or make it too easy for the tech to get into the hands of the squirrels and so forth. Although they do have these nice tape sets now, most public and staff cannot affort to buy them, and only a small percentage of tapes have been released, and almost nobody has really heard any great deal except for a few tech fanatics such as myself. I've been in the tape library at Flag and it was a joke. And there's a lot of stuff that I'd like to get myself which is totally unavailable and at their current rate, it will take about 20 or 30 years before they finish doing all of the R&Ds even though most of the transciptions have already been done. If SO and public had been listening to 1950s tapes extensively during the last 2 decades, I think that most of them would already be reformers and the organization would have straightened out long since. And at this stage, I am also worried that they are going to collapse in some bad fashion and may drag the copyrights into the grave with them. So there is a need for all the tech to get out there in computer readable form and hopefully for the work to become public domain because of the Religious Freedom issue. Most people who have worked hard to transcribe and spread the tech have done so with the postulate to spread the tech around the planet rather than the postulate to make money for the CofS. Hell, I remember a time when I was typing mimeo stencils to get some bulletins out and I was doing it to get the tech distributed. I was getting paid about 5 cents an hours for that work and I didn't mind because I believed in the tech. But I certainly didn't care whether or not the public got it for free. Considering what I was being paid to reproduce the stuff, I was mostly of the attitude that people should just get it. Whatever money came in was simply to finance printing more tech. I don't mind the org making some money from this stuff, but they should be getting it out there in high volume and making the money on quantity instead of selling a small number of copies to a rich elete. They have already handled the setup costs of doing the tech volumes. Now its just reproduction. They could just put it out cheeply in softcover, maybe a fifty or a hundred bucks for the entire set, and make it available for purchase to the general public. Or they could just run the entire thing onto a single CD Rom and charge 25 bucks for it. Its already scanned in and available to Flag C/Ses via a search engine, but they wouldn't let ordinary auditors have access to it. They could easily do all the tapes with transcripts in MPEG 3 and probably fit all 3500 hours onto about 50 CDs or so. Since they've already covered most of the setup costs and have these on CD for the vaults, they could be nice and do this at about 25 bucks per CD and sell them like hotcakes and make a fortune in the process (reproduction cost is probably only about 2 bucks per CD). There are some very dedicated and well intentioned beings at Gold and Bridge, and they are the reason that there is still tech coming from there, but the SPs in top management have done their best to hold these people back and make the tech as inaccessible as possible. Meanwhile maybe somebody will bypass them for the sake of supporting Religious Freedom and practicing their religion. The idea of putting out all the BC tapes on 10 CDs sounds really neat. If they haven't already been scanned in, the setup costs (especially transcriptions) might make the price a bit higher than 25 bucks each initially but it would still be a bargin. Sorry I've gotten carried away here, but you hit one of my buttons. Best, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio Tech - Improved Black And White IMPROVED BLACK AND WHITE This is a nice variation that was figured out by an old time Class 8 who passed it on to me. According to the PDC lectures, you can turn off a somatic by turning the area white. I have had success with this on rare occasions, but usually you can't get into the area or get it to turn white properly. Putting in a true flow of white energy feels significantly different than simply imagining the area white. It has a warm and comfortable feeling to it and that is what really aids healing. The improvement consists of mocking up the body in front of you and then flowing white into the area and flowing black out of the area alternately until you have control over the area. Then reach into the real body and turn the area white. This does seem to work to let you successfully reach into the area and turn it white. I played with this a bit and also bounced it off of another friend (a Class 6 this time). He wanted to try it as an assist. After a short while doing it on the mock up, he said it felt like the right point to shift over to the real body, but he wanted to continue doing the inflow and outflow. So I went along with this and he observed that it turned on a bit of a somatic to put black into the body and outflow it. So I varied the command to "now let any blackness that is there flow out and disperse into space". This worked really well, in fact spectacularly. Pushing in white energy brings black energy into view, and then you outflow it (without putting any black energy in) and then you push in more white etc. until the black stops appearing. Then you can really get white energy into the area that really feels like warm energy and that seems to have a strong healing effect. My friend felt that we had finally mastered the Chi force (life energy, I'm not sure about the spelling) that is talked about in some eastern practices. So the full drill is: 1. mockup a copy of your body infront of you (with its back to you seems best). 2. Push white energy into the center of the area that needs to be handled, and have the energy spread out to encompass the full area, and along nerve channels as well if it seems to indicate (on a gradient if necessary, doing more on subsequent commands), alternated with flowing black out of the area (its ok to put black there to outflow while running on the mockup). Continue step 2 until your attention is drawn to the real body or you suddenly feel you are doing it on the real body or any win that leaves you feeling like it is time to handle the real body. 3. Push white energy (as above) into the real body, alternated with having any black energy that is there or appears there flow out and disperse into space (but don't put any black energy into the body). 4. Once no more black is appearing, push in some more white energy and leave it there with the postulate for the body to heal. This seems like a powerful healing process. Then it occured to me that it could be done on an area or a group. So I drilled with a mockup of the LA complex for a bit and then got the idea that I was looking down at the real thing and filling it with white and letting any blackness flow off. That was really interesting and felt very good indeed. There were waves of blackness coming out of the ASHO basement, but the AO seemed almost clean. When I tried this on Helmet I honestly expected that Gold would be an isolated bright spot, but everything there was like the bottom of the La Brea tarpits. On this one I honestly can't say whether or not I was just running my own charge or whether the insanity there has maybe gone down by a notch, but it was fun and felt good. Affinity, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio Tech - REALITY GENERATOR (Attn Homer) REALITY GENERATOR (Attn Homer) This is in 3 sections. First I felt I needed to comment on Homer's session. And then I included Homer's post. The third section discusses what I got into when I followed up on something Homer spotted in his session. -------------- Recently Homer got a phone session from Robert and there were mixed results and there has been endless discussion of this on ACT. As I see it, the basic bug was simply that Robert was running somebody above his own case level. Since it was well intentioned and there were results despite the flubs, I'm going to thank him for trying and not make a big deal out of it. Now somebody will probably say that Homer ain't up at some high case level, but I'll disagree. A caved in grade 4 is at a higher case level than a super keyed out grade 0. He don't look good and he ain't happy, but you have to handle him as a grade 4, not as a grade 0. And somebody who trains to class 4 and fools around with the processes and never got audited by anyone else and doesn't have any of those grades FNing is still a grade 4 pc and a lower classed auditor is gonna be in trouble. The auditor just can't duplicate the pc. Now just look at some of the tech material Homer has written. It might not all be right and he might complain a lot, but this is NOT a low level case. We don't even have level numbers for the kind of suff we're dealing with here. In cases like this the pc does know better than the auditor but the auditor can't take the pcs orders and the session goes to hell whatever you do. (actually you can take the pcs orders without losing control of the session but it takes a skilled hand and you still have to be at a comparable level of understanding). I've been through this myself at Flag, it just drives you up the walls. And let me say that the suggestion to do a pile of repair lists can work if the auditor is really good and simply handles whatever reads without ANY PREJUDICE about what's what. I had that at Flag too while they were messing me up and it always worked if the auditor was good (usually they were). They would have a green form item reading, for example, and I would say something that might have later ended up in the Super Scio book, and the auditor would be totally over his head but he would keep his TRs in and do a standard handling and the charge would come off. I always ended those reviews with a floating TA and persistant FN (with one exception), and had lots of cogs and felt really really good. And then they would try to run a new process on me and everything would go to hell and I would need another repair. I was orders of magnitude beyond what the auditor or C/S could duplicate. But the repairs still worked, so that is always a way to get the PC back to FNing even if you are not up to duplicating where he is at. Of course there are other ways to get a pc flying, but doing it by 2 way comm would require being at least up to the pc's level. For someone who can solo well and is trained enough to spot when a process indicates, it could be done with the self clearing book on the principle that accumulating enough wins in enough different areas (going for whichever ones are accessible on the surface) will get the case flying. In that case, one would read the intro to each chapter and look at the first process and if it indicated, then run it to a win. One would stick with a chapter, running each process to a win as long as they continued to indicate, and one would drop it and jump to the next chapter as soon as a process didn't indicate. If a new person did this he probably wouldn't build up his skill level enough, but an old hand wouldn't have any trouble. This would have to be unmetered so that one is not sitting there fighting with a high TA or figure figuring on what is or isn't reading. You just accumulate wins on whatever is accessible until a big keyout happens. Once a pc is flying, it is a flunk to end off without an FN, but if he isn't yet, then trying to get one leads to invalidating the mild wins and it is the accumulation of these (without inval) that will get the pc flying. You can either repair or accumulate wins. If accumulating wins didn't work, you'd never get a single pc flying because everyone has endless unflat processes and out lists from life and former therapies when they first walk in the door. The ones who come in with an FN in their first session have simply had enough wins recently to key out the endless lifetimes of case outnesses. -------- On 18 Apr 98, homer@lightlink.com posted on subject "Indications" > BIG WINS FROM WRONG INDICATIONS > > The usual pattern is this. > > Auditor finds an item that the pc is vaguely interested in or not > interested in but reading. So the ARC break with Source and myself > continues and in fact gets worse. > > Homer > > ======================= http://www.clearing.org ======================== When I read that dicom of "Magnificence and Anti Magnificence", it just about jumped up and slapped me in the face. I got a visio of what seemed like a pair of sort of jeweled rectangles or tombstones in 4 or more dimensions that radiated through layered three dimensional spaces. So I decided to handle it for myself. Now let me be careful here about not evaluating or insisting that I ran into the same thing that Homer ran into. I will simply describe the processes that I devised as I went along and what happened, and maybe it will indicate or maybe it will not or maybe it will be close and he can work this around into something he can run to take some weight off of this. The Magnificence and Anti-Magnificence were in opposition like GPMs, but they did not feel like goals or items, so I didn't want to call them that. I decided that they seemed most like Asthetic Masses that were in a sort of opposition and generated some sort of flux between them that generated reality. Eventually I started calling this thing a Reality Generator. I decided that the best thing to do was to get control over the thing and become senior to it, because it seemed like it would go much earlier on the track than just about anything that I had any structure or pattern for. This is slower and more difficult than handling something that you already have the anatomy of, but it is the only way when you don't know what the damn thing is. Here is the beauty of simple concept running and things like that. These are the kinds of processes that address the core case, not the heavy processes that deal with force or GPMs or whatever, because the early track is abberations of thought only and it is impossible to create an impact on a being. So my first try was to "get the idea of being more magnificent" alternated with "get the idea of being less magnificent", with the idea of simply loosening up the absoluteness of the item. And that did give a little bit of a good feeling and so I took the win and shifted over to "get the idea of being a little more anti-magnificent" and "get the idea of being a little less anti-magnificent". The idea of being "anti-magnificent" was a little difficult at first, but the concept seemed to want to run, so I did it. And then I got a really good feeling, like being the "unmaker of the game" or a fun sort of "lucifer" busily unmocking everything and some real charge came off. Since these masses had appeared with visio off in a sort of 4th dimensional direction sideways of reality, I decided that I should work with them directly, in a similar manner to the above. So I got the idea of mocking up these two masses and alternately have them generate more and less of either magnificence or anti-magnificence. My feeling was that there were rays coming out of these things that put magnificence into things or stomped out the magnificence that was in things. I made one radiate more and less (alternately) a few times and then do the other, and worked back and forth on these for a bit. Note that this kind of processing puts the PC at cause rather than leaving him at effect of the masses discovered. That really loosened something up and suddenly I realized that I was creating both of these and making them both radiate against each other simultaneously. And I was doing that on a compulsive unconcious continuous create level and I was being both at once. And with that I could see these things stretching way back down the track, before the GPMs and before what I think of as codes and game spheres and penalty universes and everything else all the way back to the reality wars. And then I realized that these things were a weapon that had been used against me and I'm still partially unconcious as a super being from the "impact" (not an impact of force, but an impact of ideas and asthetics and potential games). But at that time one could not be affected by anything that one didn't choose to mock up. So the only possible weapons were dependent on things that they could entice you to copy and mock up. So this was something that was facinating in its asthetics and interest and potential for game, and so one wanted to be hit with the weapon. This is like knowing that a beautiful girl is an assassin sent by the enemy but she is such a great lay that you play along planning to sidestep the assassination at the last minute, but sometimes you get wacked instead. At this point I felt really good but I wanted to get more off of this thing because I could still see it all around me. I thought of finding a datum of comparable magnitude, another similar thing, but it seemed hard, like this thing permeated everything. So I decided to look around and spot something that was not magnificent. But then I realized that that was simply the concurrently created opposing item, so I changed that to finding something where these two items were not. And I must have looked around for five or ten minutes seeing this pair in everything, either there was some aspect of magnificence in an object or there was an anti-magnificence, but I kept looking around and finally I noticed the chair I was sitting it. It was a comfortable chair, but neither magnificent nor anit-magnificent but simply comfortable. And with that I felt these "threads" let go that streatched back down the track to the start of this thing. And this flux between magnificence and anti-magnificence that had streatched down through time seem to have dissolved and was not longer present. The generator was still sort of there, but it had faded into recession. And I felt like I could put magnificence into something if I felt like it, but it was not occuring compulsively. Now I was feeling really good, but it did seem like there had been a bit too much of a drop in havingness as this flux fell away. The usual sort of havingness processes didn't seem to indicate in this case. Whatever had blown was perhaps a bit too close to the actual mechanism of generating reality. Maybe that's why Homer doesn't like havingness processes. But there are other kinds of havingness processes, and the kind where you contribute to the creation did seem to indicate. So I decided to mockup beauty in the objects around me, and that did work very well and restored havingness. It then occured to me that I had just slid into another pair of reality generating masses. Beauty and anti-beauty. Note that it was not beauty/ugly, but an anti-beauty where one unmocked beauty. The concurrent mockup and unmock from two terminals done simultaneously generated a flux that again was the source of another of the threads woven through all of reality. With that I could see that there were dozens of these things and that they were a significant component in the continuous creation of reality. So I finally had gotten a datum of comparable magnitude and it was easy at this point instead of seeming impossibly hard. That was a big enough win to put the whole thing aside and leave it for another day. I would now hypothesise that any of the supposed "light" processes which actually work to destimulate heavy incidents are actualy the processes which come closest to handling "core case". That is why these supposedly light processes can actually do anything in the presence of heavy restim. In recalling pleasure moments, for example, one is comeing close to the reason why one is compulsively generating reality in the first place. Getting hit by an engram can't even happen until the reality is rock solid. I feel that this was another big step on the road out. I hope that others can get something out of this, especially Homer who helped immensly by posting this item. Best, The Pilot ========================================== subj : Super Scio Tech - Answering John Mack On OT 3 ANSWERING JOHN MACK ON OT 3 On 16 Apr 98, johnmack@dev.null (John Mack) asked on subject "To Pilot Re OT III" > Presumably many beings arrived here in the last 76 million > years who weren't in Confederation space when the OT III > events happened. They'd have dormant entities around, but > no experience of the Wall of Fire and no active BT's of > the kind OT III handles. If so, and if one of the dormant > beings had Inc 2, what would happen when a "natural OT 3" > ran the level? There are earlier similar mass implants. According to the Hubbard College Lectures of 1952, there are at least 5 of them and it is only the most recent one which happened on Earth. But Incident 2 would give the person the wrong date and location while at the same time restimulating slightly different but similar incidents. And even for people who did have Inc 2, it is late on a chain and would often be the wrong incident. This is real trouble only for the first few years that OT 3 was delivered because eventually they added the "cumulative cluster" bulletin and you were allowed to assess for and run whatever kind of incident needed to be handled (one assess things like implant, impact, electrical, and so forth and date/locates it). Once that change was made, they continued to push Incident 2 but you had an alternative if it really didn't seem right. And there still remained the other problem of blaming one's case on entities which is a good way to spin somebody in. That is even mentioned in History of Man. > Way I read the NOTS material, he would have a raging pack > of restimulated, cross-copying hellhounds in full cry. > Whereas if he'd let sleeping dogs lie, he could have worked > on positive abilities until he could dust of what entities > he had rather easily. If this makes as > big a mess as I think, then by the time NOTS arrived , the > Church was in the hands of those who got into the mess first > and had been in it the longest--- Sea Org. As I mentioned above, the restim and wrong indication of running Inc 2 exclusively was at its worst for the first few years which was exactly the time when the Sea Org was formed and recruiting heavily. Furthermore, they were mostly forbidden to recruit org and mission staff during the first year or two because of orders not to unmock the existing orgs (this had changed by 1970). So a large percentage were untrained new people, especially ones who had gotten through OT 3 in the quicky era. In early 1968 it was possible to reach grade 5A on 25 to 50 hours of auditing at a total cost of 1 or 2 thousand dollars. In 1969 one could do it in 5 or 10 hours of auditing. A further few months and a few thousand dollars at St. Hill or (1969) AOLA and one could be on OT 3 with little preparation and little confront and much encouragement to blame one's remaining case on BTs. For an example of the typical bridge in early 1969, when the original standard tech and quickes were at their peak, see Bob Kaufman's book (which is up at a few web sites). People who got audited after 1970 probably don't believe it, but he had a totally standard bridge for 1969 and just about every process that was run on him is listed in that book. It is a pitiful handful. And yet he did make gains on lower level processes and says so. It was only getting tosses onto Clear and OT 3 that spun him in. The only inaccuracy in his book is that he used fake names for all the people involved, possibly to protect them. This was the experience of new public who came in during that era. Those who trained or those who came in a little earlier or later fared better. But his was not an unusual experience. The only difference is that he decided that Ron was nuts and most people decided the opposite and became Sea Org fanatics. The level of charge and dub-in by the time they did OT 3 was probably about the same. I'm not talking here about the old timers or existing trained auditors. Most of them did not join the SO except for the very first wave that signed up when Ron created the SO. Most could not join during that first year because of the policy I mentioned above, and by the second year, most of the old timers were very leary of getting sucked into that mess. I would have joined in early 1968 if I had been allowed to leave org staff to do so, and I most certainly would not in 1969. By the time it was possible for me to join, I was totally recruiter resistant. So about three quarters of the 1968-9 Sea Org recruits were untrained newbies who had been in the sujbect for six months or a year and rushed up through OT 3 and got dazzeled by the Xenu story and signed up for a billion years. There are exceptions, but this is the most common story. In those days, I would often hear a new SO member who was on a recruiting mission say things like "When I did OT 3 and saw what had happened to us, I realized that the only thing I could do was to dedicate my life to salvaging this sector". > Or am I missing something? > > John As I see it, many of the early SO recruits had the incident in full restim and were dramatizing implanting others.
